Overview

Students take a 30-question, theme-related, multiple-choice quiz.  (The quiz is now theme-related in order to differentiate it from the National French Contest AND to maximize the learning opportunity from this year’s Convention theme!) 

Entries

No limit to number of entries per school. 

Judging

Based upon the number of correct answers.

Time limit

20 minutes (the test times itself — so be sure to submit in time!!)

Procedure

Students will scan a QR code** upon entering the testing area to access the contest.  Students are on their honor to complete the test with integrity–individually, no talking, no surfing, using no resource other than their own brain.  

**A phone or device with data/Wi-Fi is required!

Other Details

Students should expect content about people, places, and things associated with la musique (performers, composers, instruments, styles, genres, eras, events, specific compositions, etc.)  Although the quiz is in English, words in French will appear in the question, the answer, or both.  Most of the questions will be accompanied by a picture to provide additional support.
